On Tuesday of the first week we have had our first lessons at English Embassy school. Teachers and students gathered at 8.30 on the school yard where we obtained a first taste of the program during the two weeks of our stay by the director. However, the lessons were held on a very trivial level due to examine the level of language skills in the group. Basically, we just had to introduce ourselves for 3 hours but in the last 30 minutes we ended up playing a game which was pretty fun. The best thing about the school is the cafeteria where you get some nice pizza at a reasonable price and a very friendly customer service. Lunch was fine there too but I experienced the prejudice for the first time  about the spice habits of the English cuisine, there has been no salt at all in the chips.
In the afternoon we went punting on the River Cam which was pretty cool but short too. Because the weather was pretty hot and the sun permanently shining on us, a few classmates and I intended to jump into the river but were eventually stopped by our punter who informed us about the strong currents inside the river. However, it also has to be stated that the punter didn´t seem to have any credibility because he appeared in a strange demeanour.
After having dinner with my host family, we met at the Anchor Pub where our group should have had a drink the day before. Everyone enjoyed the time and had a lot of fun. In the end everyone returned home on time perfectly at 10.30 and some even earlier at 9.45 pm.
